Holiday!!

It’s time of the year again. Yup, what I’m referring to is none other than the year end school holiday. I believe most of the parents out there have somewhat exciting plan lined up for their children. However, I also know that some other parents are cracking their head as to where to place their children or how to occupy their children during this long break. No worries and no sweat. See how my idea can help you to plan for your kids. Disclaimer: my idea may not be entirely exciting, but it’s up to you to get your child excited about it J

Have a good time reading, cheers!!

1.     Holiday Program

What I’m suggesting here is that parents can enroll their kids to any holiday program organize by learning centre or even churches. When you look for holiday program, do take into consideration that the program will be a fun-learning instead of classroom style learning. They have the whole year of classroom learning; you may not want to stress them out during their school holiday. Here are 2 holiday program which I can recommend. One is organized by a learning centre (KL SOGO STARZ STUDIO) and another is organized by a church

2.    Holiday Camp

Yup, I know. You may ask, what is the different between holiday camp and holiday program. The difference is that holiday program is a daily, few hours’ activity whereas holiday camp is where children will stay in a hostel and they will go through as series of activity like motivation, treasure hunt and etc here.

3.    Family holiday

What is more important than a quality time together with your children? Its year end and parents should consider taking a break off the hectic schedule and spend some fun time together as a family. You can log on to various tourism website and choose a destination that suits your family lifestyle.

 4.    Mission trip

Be it that you are a Christian or any other race, one good thing about mission trip is to expose your child to the needs of the people around them and learn how to help them. By going on a mission trip, children will learn to appreciate what they have at home and be gratitude towards their parents and friends. Places where parents can expose their children are like orang asli settlement (which you have to go under church or non-profit organization covering), orphanages, and old folks home. If parents do not have the time to go with them, parents can always place their children in the orphanages not as an orphan of cause but as a helper or volunteer.

Here just my two cents worth. If you have any better idea to share with me or the parents, feel free to drop you comments. I would really appreciate feedback. As I say, I may not be an expert but am still learning from everyone. Have a great day and God bless J
